This is a Pick 2 Draft which is a draft variant where, instead of taking just one card from each booster pack when it’s your turn, you take two cards at a time.

Here’s how it works compared to a normal draft:

Pick 2 draft: Each player opens a booster, takes 2 cards at once, and passes the rest.

This small twist has a few big effects:

Stronger decks – Since you get two cards each pick, you can grab powerful combos or mana fixing more reliably.
Signals are muddier – Because players are taking 2 cards, it’s harder to “read” which colors are open from the packs you’re passed.
Synergies improve – It’s easier to pick two cards that work together (like removal + bomb, or two cards in the same archetype).
