Bolt Action Event (Milton Keynes)

This a friendly Event suitable for anyone from New Players, Those returning to the game system or the Seasoned Veterans out there. There will be Prizes on the day too!

There will be the introduction of a “BYE” system where if we have a odd number of players a randomly selected player may be asked to sit out a round. This is randomised by the Best Coast Pairing App that we use to run the events. Any player who takes a “BYE” is awarded an automatic win for that round.

RATTENKREIG:

Many theatres during WW2 saw scrappy close up fighting involving small units, the Island assaults of the Pacific, the Rubble strewn bunkers of the Alps and as the name alludes to, the bombed out cities of Stalingrad. The Germans coined the term Rattenkrieg, or ‘ratlike war’, during the fighting at Stalingrad. Where large rifle squads, organised battalion manoeuvrers and mechanised assaults were totally useless, broken up by the terrain and effective deployment of defensive weapons. The following pack is to encourage this type of game in Bolt Action.

The replacing dice system will be used. When a player has more than 12 units they put 12 order dice in the bag and each time they activate a unit, put a token on the unit showing that it has activated and replace the die in the bag until the player has 12 or less units, at which point you continue using the dice in the usual way.

Army Creation:

Armies must be made up using the 3rd edition structure in the main rule book, and using any “armies of” books for 3rd edition. If you run a list from other books such as the compendium you must bring this with you.

There will be a minimum of 12 order dice.
